Everything you should know about the panorama on iPhone 4s/5

Apple didn’t spend too much time talking about the iSight camera at the iPhone 5′s unveil event because both of the iPhone 4s and iPhone 5 have an 8-megapixel camera. But is that mean the iPhone 5 camera mostly as the same as iPhone 45? You have been fooled if you think so.

The Camera on iPhone 5 features improvements including 40 percent faster photo capture, better low-light performance, and improved noise reduction. So people can snap more shots with more detail and clarity than ever before. Most important, the iPhone 5 have a new panorama feature with the new gyroscope, A6 chip, and Camera technology. The iPhone will stabilize any erratic motion, then stitch together a beautiful 240 degree picture.

So if you want to take a better panorama photo on the iPhone 4s and 5, here is everything you should know.

How does it work?

You must update your iPhone 4S to iOS 6 then the panorama mode should already be built into the camera app. It is only running on iPhone 5 and 4S, others can’t and so does the iPad.

How to take panorama photos on your iPhone 5 or 4S

1. Launch the camera app on your iPhone 5 or 4S.
2. Tap on the Options button at the top of the screen.
3. Tap on the Panorama button.
4. You'll see an arrow in the center of your screen.
5. Tap the camera button to begin taking your panorama photo.
6. Try to keep the arrow in the center as much you possibly can.
7. Tap the Done button when you are finished taking your picture.

The key here to take a good panorama photo is to go slow and move steady. When take the phone, you should move the phone even slower, then you would possible get the best photos. If you begin to move too fast or get too far off center you'll see a message on the screen telling you how to correct it.

And if you don't want to take a full 240-degree photo, you can stop at any time by pressing the shutter button along the bottom. Whatever progress you have made will then be saved to your Camera Roll.

What’s the difference between Taking panorama pictures by the iPhone, and Apps?

Through apps while taking the panorama picture, you choose the panorama setting, stand in the same place and move around, and once you've finished it stitches the photos together. While By contrast, the iPhone 5 (and 4S) Panorama function lets you move around as you take the picture. You can move the camera up and down.

It's not that Apple is first with a panoramic setting, but by compared with the Apps, we can easily find that Apple do better in this aspect.
