The 7 best gadgets and gizmos coming this fall

Samsung have unveils world's first Windows Phone 8 device on August 30, and over the next three months, tech companies will be launching some of their most highly-anticipated gadgets, including the new iPhone, iPad Mini and so on.  Now let’s reviews what to expect in the fall.

1. iPhone 5

Release date: September 12, 2012


Rumors about the new iPhone have never stopped. After months of rumors, Apple Inc. on Tuesday sent out invitations for a media event Sept. 12 in San Francisco that is widely expected to be the launch of the iPhone 5.

2. iPad mini
Release date: Expected October, 2012


Apple is also rumored to be unveiling a new iPad:iPad mini, with a smaller screen in order to complete with tablets of Amazon Kindle Fire and Google Nexus 7. Read more..

3. Surface

Release date: October 26


Microsoft's highly anticipated tablet -Surface Tablet will be the company's first PC of its own design. 

Microsoft will launch the first Surface equipped with Windows RT operating system while Surface equipped with Windows 8 operating system will be released in January next year.

4. Windows 8

Release date: Oct. 26


One of the most eagerly awaited technology products this year will be Microsoft's radically redesigned Windows 8. The touch-enabled operating system is expected to inspire a host of new PC gadgets, including tablets, touch-screen ultrabooks, and even table tops in the coming months.

5. Wii U

Release date: Expected October or November


How much longer will "Wii" have to wait for the Wii U, the long-awaited update to Nintendo's six-year-old video game console? Many expect the company to announce a definite release date at a special event on Sept. 13 while Nintendo had said the company will release this product during the Christmas holiday.

6. Kindle and Kindle Fire

Release date: Expected October or November

Amazon will hold a press conference on September 6, at which Amazon will launch its latest version of the Kindle e-book reader and a new generation of tablet PCs, the Kindle Fire.
The new version of the Kindle Fire tablet is expected to be thinner and lighter, with a higher resolution in order to complete with Apple’s iPad.

7. Apple TV

Release date: before 2012

Apple has already sold the Apple TVs. However, the Wall Street Journal recently reported that Apple is seeking to broadcasts cable TV live to Apple TV. Apple is currently being negotiated with the cable companies.

After a recent meeting with Apple executives Peter Oppenheimer and Eddy Cue, Pacific Crest's Andy wrote that Apple won't likely produce a new Apple TV refresh until it can solve the cable and live content problem and scale into international markets.
